Carbon Reduction Plan
Pixel Fusion is a digital-first software and services company with an inherently low-carbon operating model. This plan sets out our baseline, our reduction targets and the actions taking us to Net Zero, prepared in line with the UK Government's PPN 06/21 Carbon Reduction Plan standard.

01 Our commitment
Aligned to the UK Government's Net Zero ambition.
Pixel Fusion Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions from our operations by 2050 at the latest, and to reducing the environmental impact of both our own operations and the services we deliver for our clients.
As a small, remote-first technology business with no manufacturing, logistics or other carbon-intensive activities, our direct emissions are low. But we believe every organisation should measure its impact, reduce it at source and report on its progress. This plan is how we hold ourselves to that.
02 Baseline emissions
Our 2026 baseline, estimated across the three greenhouse gas scopes.
We have set 2026 as our baseline year. Because we operate remotely with only a small serviced office, our direct emissions (Scope 1) and purchased-electricity emissions (Scope 2) are negligible. The large majority of our footprint sits in Scope 3: homeworking energy, limited business travel, cloud and digital infrastructure, and purchased goods and services.
| Scope | Emissions source | tCO2e |
|---|---|---|
| Scope 1 | Direct — fuel, heating, company vehicles | <1 |
| Scope 2 | Indirect — purchased electricity (office) | ~2 |
| Scope 3 | Homeworking, business travel, cloud & digital, purchased goods & services | ~28 |
| Total | Estimated baseline footprint | ~30 |
These figures are an initial estimate for a 27-person remote-first operation. We are validating and refining them during our first full measurement year, so that our reduction targets are calculated from verified data.
03 Reduction targets
A firm trajectory against the 2026 baseline, reviewed annually.
04 Carbon reduction measures
What we already do to reduce emissions at source.
- Remote-first working — significantly reduces employee commuting and the need for permanent office infrastructure.
- Virtual collaboration — client meetings and project work run on Microsoft Teams and cloud platforms wherever practical.
- Low-carbon travel — business travel is minimised, and where travel is necessary we prefer public transport and rail.
- Digital-first operations — documentation and business processes are paperless by default.
- IT equipment lifecycle — we extend equipment life through maintenance, reuse and redeployment rather than routine replacement.
- Efficient engineering — performant code, efficient cloud utilisation, streamlined CI/CD and rationalised storage reduce compute demand.
05 Environmental management
Formalising our approach to a certified standard.
We already operate UKAS-certified ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 27001 (Information Security) management systems and hold Cyber Essentials Plus, so we have the governance, audit and continuous-improvement disciplines in place to manage our environmental impact rigorously.
We have committed to achieving ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) certification within 18 months, placing this Carbon Reduction Plan inside an externally audited management system. Environmental performance is reviewed annually and this plan is updated as our measured data develops.
06 Wider sustainability and social value
Our commitments beyond carbon.
Living Wage employer
Accredited. Every member of our team is paid at least the real Living Wage.
Disability Confident
